Mobile Me new name of Apple .Mac?
iPhone SDK code diggers stumbled over a new service name: MobileMe or Mobile Me.
Mobile Me could be the new name of the revamped .Mac online service Apple is offering.
Apple also already has filed a trademark application for Mobile Me already back in 2006.
It would make a lot of sense for Apple to update the .Mac service with push email and other services to create a full eco-system to compete with Blackberry and Microsoft. The iPhone device alone is not enough. It needs a set of comprehensive services that ties it into the data we have stored on our PCs - Mobile Me is not a bad name, if Apple really gives access to “Me” on the go.
